Hi there-

Congrats on your new guitar! If you are moving from electric to acoustic, I'd recommend starting out with light gauge strings on the acoustic. You can ask at the music store to find out what gauge strings are already on the guitar you decide to buy. If they're not light gauge, you might be able to talk them into putting a set on for you as you buy the guitar.

Depending on how your fingers do, and what styles of acoustic music you end up going for, you may make adjustments in the string gauge in the future.

Have fun and keep us posted!
Best wishes, Lisa
