My name is John and I'm 43 and trying to start playing the guitar again. I purchased a new Aria Pro II RS Straycat about 24 years ago and started taking lessons at night when I wasn't busy dairy farming with my family. Soon, I was overwhelmed with work and the guitar was put aside. I have since moved to a new profession (computer IT field) and decided to give it a shot again along with my daughter. I played the saxaphone from 4th thru 12th grade, so I am not new to reading music. Now, remembering all the notes? Yeah, that's a different story..lol. I was looking online for places to learn the guitar on my free time at my own pace and found Guitar Tricks. The videos so far are excellent - just like being next to the instructor.

One thing I would love to see on the site maybe is in the section below the vidoes where you see the fingering and bars of music is the note letter above each note above the bars. This is what I used to due in school (or maybe even the books printed it that way) to help me remember the notes easier as I was reading the bars. Just for the fundemental sections only. Just a thought.

John

Yes I do. That is what I am using to get back into learning. Its a red metallic but does need a going over to get the fine dust that has settled on it over the years even though it was in it's bag. the "whammy" bar is a little stiff to turn also.
