Hi guys!

It's been a long time..

A group of friends rented a beach house recently and I set up my stuff , just to crank the amp up. It is so fustrating to just record gtr direct, right?

Anyway, nothing fantastic came out of the session, just this little warm up thing. When I heard the first playback, "Heart Breaker" came to mind immediately - NOT the playing!! but the tone.

just some messy stuffss , hope you can salvage some ideas from all these mess.
Sorry for all the hiss... I don't use noise gate, I use the volume pedal for that.

Oh, if anyone can tell me where that riff ( at around 2:20 ) , came from, I'd appreciate it. I got no idea where it came from but I know it is definately not from my own creativity.

Let me have some feedback ( wooaahhaaaaaaaaa ) :D

Hmmm... not sure if it's the tone of the guitar or your playing, but what kept going through my head was Led Zepplin.

I think it's 99% tone, 1% playing.
The strange thing is , it doesn;t sound like this at all when I heard it from the amp. I guess it is the result of using a $5 Karaoke microphone that somehow 'distorted' the tone.

Thanks for sitting through this random ...'thing' :)

Gotta agree, it sounds in many parts to be like the guitar break part in 'Livin', Lovin' Maid'.

It sounds like quality noodling. Solid playing.

I would say that try to organize in to recurring themes. I did hear a little of that but not enough to feel cohesive. I realize that you did make this as a 'thing' so this isn't at all a criticism. Listen to ZZ Top's old song 'Just Got Paid' for that kind of recurring riff. It's the kind of recurring that makes the noddling become a formulated deal.

Still, rock solid playing.

Thanks guys, for the encouraging comments.

Yup, I really need to get organized ...even if it is just noodling around.

I hope to rent a small jam studio in town this coming weekend and try another one. This time, it'll be an actual piece of , hopefully, music :)

Your comments really makes me wanna do it right ! Thanks :D
