Not many submissions... hopefully things will pick up later in the year. Also, I don't have a backing track ready for this month. Julian said he would email me some but he hasn't yet.. I can easily chuck another one together.. would only take a day or so, but if anyone has one already done.. let me know.

Ok.. sorted it out.. Windows Mail was identifying the backing track Julian sent me as a potential virus! How dumb!.. I have it now, so I will post it and his explanation of it in a moment. :)

My vote went to Psaltery, just for lighting the fire! That take just rocked.
Light - That was much better with the reverb toned down. Nice clean playing, I just felt you could have strung the phrases together more, it seemed like you were finishing one and then very deliberately starting another. But very good non the less.

Can you play "Far Far Away?"
Yes - how far would you like?

I have really enjoyed this months soundtrack, and kudos to all who participated. I admire the willingness to put a piece of yourself into a solo and put it out there for anyone to listen to, critique, rave about, or say they hate it.
Special kudos for light487 for hosting this and all the work that goes into this
Thanks for the vote WrigglerUk. I thought you did really good started out aggressively then settled into a good melody. Nice riffs.
I also was pleasantly surprised by light187 after cutting the reverb way back, your final take had good melody and the phrasing was much better. Almost reminded me of the Allman Brothers at times.
Equator, my vote goes to you for a very original playing style and some really good riffs. I liked the glissando/slide near the beginning, very cool indeed. And after all, our vote is supposed to go to the one we most enjoyed listening to, and you got mine.
Tough choice to make but kudos to all.
I'll see you all for September's go around I hope .
