Hi there everyone, you can call me Jumpsty! I'm thirteen and from Australia, an eager learner too ^_^ I first started playing guitar in November (2007) when my school hired a music teacher. I was thrilled when I plucked my first string, and since then I haven't been able to get enough of it :D I have an electric and an acoustic guitar, but I use the electric most of the time. My teacher told me to use the acoustic since the electric is easier, so I better start doing that. At the start of this year, I began going to lessons every Tuesday.. and I still am as well. I think that my weakest areas are reading music, reading the musical language and tabs, and barre chords. Recently I started searching through Youtube for song lessons, and I've learnt quite a bit that I didn't know about guitar as well as some songs. But I do need a lot more practice if I'm going to get anywhere.

-Cheers, and rock on! ..It's great to meet you all. Jumpsty :)

You probably have lots to do from your lessons already, but here's a website that can help you with reading music:

And for the barre chords, if you're having trouble making the barre due to hand strength, try working your left hand out with a racquetball. Sounds crazy, but it helps develop hand strength.

Keep up the good work!
