Hi everyone. I'm from Boston and I'm very new to playing guitars but want to learn :) I listen to mostly rock and metal.

I have a question for the more experienced folks here: I of course want to look at the Beginners lessons first, but there is no definite linear progression after that, or at least I couldn't find it on the site. So basically, step 1 is the Beginners lessons, but what is step 2 and 3 and so on?

Thanks in advance! :)

What I did was focus on an aspect of the guitar. For me it was technique. So learned all of the more internediate and advanced techniques. Alternate picking, tapping, sweeping, etc. Then, at the same time I did some of the lessons to buiild speed and dexterity and tried to learn some new scales and such.

That is just the way I went. You could also choose to focus on music theory or rythm work. It really is up to you.

A little birdie told me we might be getting intermediate and advanced guides in the future so be on the lookout!

That would be good if you knew what you wanted to focus on, but perhaps a curriculum would be fitting for someone needing more of a direction.

Excellent. Did the little birdie mention when these new curriculum might be done? ;)
