Vox Ad50vt

Bought New VOX amp in USA and brought home to Zambia. We use 220V input to 110V output transformer. Transformer has 2 output settings. Low for equipments using upto 25W and High for 26W up to 1875W. Amp worked well for first 10 minutes when set on Low power setting of transformer. Then I realized Amp needs 52W so changed Transformer settings to High. Immediately smelt something burning and Amp started making high burring sound. What happened???? and what needs to be done??? My problem is I am sitting in Zambia.

52 Watts would be the maximum required only when the amp is running flat-out.

I suspect there is something wrong with your line transformer, and it ruined the power supply of your new amp. :(
