I'm new to this site and an absolute beginner on guitar.
Although this will probably receive a biased answer, I would like to ask you guys' opinions on this website, and is it worth the monthly fee to upgrade to the full membership?
Any help would be greatly appreciated :)
Thanks in advance.

I played through most of the free lessons before deciding to join, and I can say that joining is COMPLETELY worth it. They tell you how many lessons are on here before you join (I don't remember the number, but I remember that it was very large) but you can't quite comprehend the sheer scope of this site until you get to play with it for a while. It's so easy to get completely sidetracked with random lesson plans (I spent a few hours learning about MIDI sequencing and stuff... I'll probably never use it in my life!) but it's just so much fun. Anyway, this is the type of website that causes subscribers to starve to death because they're too busy practicing and exploring to eat. Best website ever. I love it so much I think I'll marry it.

Yes this site is really worth it. Before I found this site I was on a beginners guide on how to play a guitar on a dvd and it was pretty confusing, it wasn't really thought out properly. Anyways this site has tons of lessons, its thought out, and it makes playing the guitar easy and a lot of fun! So yes its worth the pay, I did it and Im having alot fun along the way.

Basically the same answer as above.. but also wanted to say that the owners are continually updating and cleaning up their database of lessons, improving on what is already there. A lot of pay sites add new content regularly but fail to clean up their old stuff, creating a huge mess of useless lessons that don't relate to anything any more.

This is a key feature that is often overlooked when considering when it is worthwhile. Not only are there a huge amount of lessons but, for the most part, all are quality lessons. Obviously the clean up process is a continual thing so there is always going to be a lesson here and there that is outdated, however I come across these less and less as time goes by.

The most recent improvement that I liked is the update of the Flash Video player. It is now twice the size of the original and the quality of the newer videos has also increased meaning that it's much easier to see what is going on in the lesson.

I may be a moderator/admin of these forums but I am still a member, and joined the site for the same reasons everyone else did...to learn to play guitar better.

site is good.... give money now...
you will awaken when I snap my fingers...

hey, I'm biased cause I work here...but what can I say...
I get constant emails complimenting the site & I wouldn't post my lessons here if it wasn't 100% above board, honest and worth every cent.
