Al DiMeola; Pat Metheny; John Mcglaughlin (better check the spelling on that one lol); Wes Montgomery....those are some of the big names in jazz guitar but theres lots of great guitarists that aren't so well known. Search around cuz you just might find something interesting!

Ever heard of Marc Ducret?

Have a look at this little vid and go on a net search. The more electrically oriented stuff is with the band "Big Satan". Exposure to this kind of music should expand your pallette somewhat...

On GT listening post check out Frank Axetell - he's right into the this type of thing and is also a very solid player/composer.
