In my opinion the vg strat is way to expensive for what it is.
I own a 50th anniversary American ash strat and it's awesome.
The trouble I have with the vg is the digital technology, the rate at which the technology is evolving means that you'll be paying lots of cash for a guitar with electronics that will soon be bettered and maybe even replaced in similar models.
My thought is that if you are spending so much, you should be getting your dream guitar. I'd go with something natural, with no soon-to-be-outdated fancy electronics.
