7 Strings ?

Hey! I started playing guitar a few months ago and i am considering buying a 7 String Guitar in teh near future so i can play some KoRn stuff. I would also like the use 7 String low end in my own songs. What i want to know is if theres a large differnce between 6 and 7 strings or is it just rthe fact that an extra string has been attatched to the top. Any help is appriciated.

The exstra sring it the 7. string (at the top) and is't a B so u get a verry dark sound

A 7-string is just a 6 string with a wider neck and an extra low B-string, simple as that.
