It often happens that my Strat (USA made) produces hum (when I have a switch on individual magnet), hum dissapears when I put it in the middle position. It really didn't bothered me before, but now we have some gigs, and it's getting on my nerves. Sound in the middle position ( 2 magnets) just sucks.

So I'm thinking of replaceing the bridge pickup with Seymour Duncans Hot Rails.
Does anybody has any experience whit those pickups. Would it sound good????

Or maybe anybody know how to get rid of the hummin'

I love the sound though and so I'm a little nervous about change.

You coulld go with the Fender vintage noiseless. If you really love the sound of your Fender p[ickups, you will be most likely to get a similar sound with pickups designed to sound like a 60s strat. The Vintage noiseless use blah blah technology to eliminate the 60 cycle hum. If you can, try out a new American Deluxe strat with noiseless pickups and see if they do the trick (I haven't had the chance to try them out).

Put A set of hot Rails on my 84 Ibanez Blazer (Jap Strat) back a few years ago, an I wouldn't trade it for any Strat on the shelf (under$1000 that is). Just make sure that you have a Good tech install it!

I love the noisless single coils in my Strat, but if I happen to have the money kicking around when I'm playing a lot of guitar, I'll probably have some Texas Specials put in.

Hum be damned.

Try some Kent Armstrong pickups. I'm getting their Hot Rails for my Ibanez neck position, and they also have Cool Rails ( also ceramic and noiseless, but a lot more straty.
