Just wanted to tell the guitartricks crew what I thought about their site and what it brought me.

First, really really really cool site! Never saw one even close to GuitarTricks in terms of dynamics.

And as for what it brought me since I've joined in, it brought me a whole lot. I was at a "plateau", going nowhere, playing the same licks again and again.

I play alone and it's sometime hard to get in the "mood". It almost seems like I had lost the passion, I wasn't hungry for guitar anymore. But all this has changed, partly because of the people running this site and partly because of you guys.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the guys who build and keep this site as good as it is. I would also like to thanks the people who e-mailed me to give me tricks and new ways of looking at guitar music.

MERCI

I would also like to know what GuitarTricks is to you.

I just really like the community. It's nice to take part in a nice civilized board that's more interested in ideas and communication than harassing people.

Originally I came for the chance to improve my playing by learning new tricks. After a few months I discovered the message board and just kept coming back because it is, like everyone's one, the best board around. I've never had much hassle, the times there have been a few problems I've noticed the people have quickly disappeared or changed their attitude. It's a nice, friendly place, somewhere you can share ideas with like minded people and not have to worry about some stuck up idiot taking potshots for no reason.
Can anyone else see a pattern emerging?...

There's a whole bunch of stuff that keeps me coming back. The board is great cause it's well moderated and does't have problems with immature people posting 'you suck' messages. It's also wellpopulated by some seasoned guitar players who really know their stuff and are willing to answer any questions put to them.
The best part though is the main section with the amazing hosts and tricks sectios. Most other sites that give lessons are kinda pathetic, geared to beginners or only have relatively few things worth looking at. Guitar tricks has thousands of lessons with sound files, with a great majority of them aimed at advanced players and the unreal part is that it's totally free. Another thing I like is that the interface and web design isn't loaded up with tons of memory hogging graphics. I can sign on with a 10 year old computer and still access everything on the site.

Hey you kids! Get outta that Jello tree!!

No - thank you, Jon for taking the time to develop this site. I know you've put a lot of time, effort and even money (who remembers when there was that drive to increase traffic? The chance to win some pretty niffty prizes?...)
I'm sure I'm not the only one here who appreciates it greatly. Thanks again and keep up the outstanding work!
