if i mailed some one a plane ticket would you come here and hit me in the head with a hammer??

ok so last night i decide to change the strings on my strat. its been 6 months and they were looking black so, i loosened the strings and cut them off at the machine heads (like i always do) and then spent the next 3 hours looking for a pack of strings. i could have swore i had 6 packs around here.

this mornig i finally found a new pack of dean markley blue steels and i string my axe up and think hey its a good day, but no. i have my strat term set up so its off the body and i forgot to block it up so no matter how many times i tune it, it just wont stay in pitch. the low e sounds an octive too low but when i try to tune it up it sounds higher than the a.

thanks for letting me rant. im feeling better already. no i just have to go spend money on more strings.
They say the END is near, but I'm Tired of waiting.

Bummer. Also, Good call on the Blue Steel's. That's all I ever use now. Luv them cryogenics. long lasting (one reporter's opinion)
I'd like to add -for those who break strings too often-- A little dab of oil (3 in 1) with a Q-tip lightly swiped on the bridge before restringing reduces them broken strings. Saves $ too.

Honestly.. unless I am planning on having my strings on the guitar for longer than 2 weeks, I will just buy Ernie Ball (ie. the cheapest( strings in my preferred gauge, which is .10 to .49.. if I do plan on having strings on longer than that I always put Elixirs on.

The only reason I would have strings on longer than 2 weeks is because I really hate the new-string sound when I am trying to play bluesy rhythm.. I need a duller sound but without reducing the EQ dynamics of the guitar by changing the tone on the guitar or the amp.
