i feel dumb. i couldnt sleep last night so i sat there for 4 hours with my guitar and my electric tuner practicing bending sliding and vibrato. i worked all 6 strings from the 1 fret to the 20th. well now i have blisters on all my left hand fingers but i did learn a 1/4 tone bend is alot harder than a full tone bend. and grace notes can be a great tool for expression.

i guess what im asking is what do you do for this kind of hurt (if your dumb enough to bend and slide for four hours.)

should i pop the blisters or is it like a burn?

thanks and yes you can make fun of me all you want.
They say the END is near, but I'm Tired of waiting.

You could, I guess. The same thing used to happen to me, back when I was a go-getter. I'd always wait for the blisters to go away, but I would get impatient at how long it took and end up popping them. It hurts a bit to play with a popped blister, but it's a little easier than playing with a huge bump.

Medically speaking, you should not pop a blister for the liquid in a blister is needed for proper healing and it will break on it's own when ready. Popping it could cause infection and long healing time. If you do pop them, be sure to use a disinfectant on them. I'm not a doctor, but this is something I have learned over the years.

Another thing learned is, "All things in moderation".

I've always just ripped mine off. I prefer to let the air get to it so it heals faster and hardens.
