Hello,
A friend gave me an old Epiphone Les Paul a few months ago. Finally sent it to the shop to change everything except the stock pick-ups.
Backing tracks done with the Garage Band. Recorded mixed and mastered all on the Garage Band as well.
Song is loaded on SoundClick.
Comments and critics most welcomed :)

PS: It took me 20 years of playing gtr to realize what the rest of the world already knew -- the Les Paul design gtr feels a little awkward to handle but once start playing , the feel of every note is so great. That's why I did not feel the urge to 'shred' with this, just want every note to ring...hahaa

Good job RGX.
Sounds like you had fun doing this.
I'm guessing that was "Can't you see" by Marshall Tucker?

Thanks for checking out the song.
I didn't know about the Marshall Tucker Band's song, pardon my musical ignorance. So I went to youtube, sound like a classic to me :)

Hey mpaq, appreciate your feedback :)
wow, you still can't get over that jazz wannabe piece..hahaha.
With the Les Paul, I think I will be attempting to do a 'Jazz' piece again. (using the word Jazz very loosely here! )

I just remixed this piece - tweaking the levels, EQ of the individual tracks and adding some effects. Thing it sounds a little more 'produced' now. At least that what my headphones tell me :)

Since I started this thread, thought I'd take a little liberty to go off topic a little.
Just found out Jeff Healey had passed away from lung cancer last Sunday, 2nd March.
He was one of my main influence ever since I started playing electric guitar. Although I don't know the man as a person, I know his guitar playing has deeply affected how I approach the instrument and is thankful for his exisitance in this respect.
All I know is the music world has lost a truly passionate guitar player and wonderful musician.
RIP Mr. Healey.

Damn, didn't know that.
Jeff was an unbelievable player.
Saw him live 15 years ago in a small venue.
He was loud as hell but awesome.

RGX,
How strange. It's 6:30 pm Tuesday night and the movie "Road house" is on right now on VS channel.
Jeff is playing "Roadhouse blues".

He had the coolest, most powerful vibrato.
I don't mean that exagerated/wide vibrato like from the hair band era.
Jeff's vibrato just sounded really good.
