Try to use the Lydian mode. For instance, play the 6th string open (E) and on the other strings play a scale with the notes E F# G# A# B C# D# E. This has a typical Satch feel.
BTW Satch uses a lot of exotic scales & modes, and also mixes them. If you search on youtube, there are a couple of videos in which Satch himself explain how he uses the modes.
