looking for a little help
i need a little bit of help finding lessons on chord progressions mostly how to relate things like E B A to scales. im not 100% sure what its called which is why i cant find it.

I think what you want is to be able to work out what Key something is in based on the chords that are being played. Once you have the Key for a song, you can easily work out what to play as a solo over the top.
If you have E Major, A Major and B Major.. then most likely it is in the Key of E Major.. on the other hand if you had E minor, B Major and A Major you might be in the Key of B Major. Or if you have A Major, B minor and E Major, you might be in Key of A Major..
Is that what you mean?

that is part of what i mean but id also like to know how to 'match' chords. im not sure how to say it but how to write song that sound good with chords and scales and stuff.
im not sure what im talking about so its hard to describe. but i have chord charts out the wazoo, i even have one of those 7,488 guitar chords books, what im trying to learn is how to use the chords to make the right sounds.
im also looking for lessons not just a post about it.

Yeh sorry dude.. I don't have full access at the moment. Usually I would try to find some lessons that relate, as Chris has just done for you but as I can't access the full site at the moment I just tend to try and clarify your (or whoever's) needs so that when someone who does have full access comes along, they can point you in the right direction. :)
