My first ever guitar was a BC Rich Warlock i picked up at a garage sale. Just picture a 70-pound white kid with glasses carrying around that pointy piece of crap... I couldn't tell whether I'd bought a guitar or some sort of primitive hunting tool. All I knew was that I could make horrendous noises on it and inflict minor puncture wounds on everything within a 10-foot radius. It disappeared one day, and my parents said they gave it away to a nice farm family, but I still have the feeling they had it put to sleep. Long story short... BC Rich's are usually pretty bad, ESPECIALLY second hand ones. There are exceptions to this, of course, but I think I've heard more complaints about BC's than any other non-starter guitar.
