I have the Ibanez Tube Screamer- haven't used it in awhile, but it isn't super heavy on distortion- if I remember correctly. I got it to replace the Death Metal (digitech) distortion box which was TOO heavy for my taste.

You didn't say how much distortion you wanted- you just want some crunch, or you want to melt steel?
