The fact that you have found this site already shows some commitment. Having just turned 50 myself, I can say...you're only as old as you feel! And I still feel like a teenager (and often act like one to the dismay of my kids- but their friends think I'm cool, lol).

I'm teaching my son how to play the guitar, and just became a full subscription member. I can tell you after a quick glance at the video lessons available to the raw beginner to the advanced, there's much to be offered here. Maybe you should try the free video lessons first.

You'll find a lot of help and support here. So, to answer your question: I'd say you're probably 40 years TOO YOUNG to start playing.
