I play the guitar good enough to enjoy playing. But I would like to kick it up a notch and make it music instead of me and a piece of wood hanging out. I need to put some hammer ons and pull offs and slides. Can anyone suggest a book or something for these ornaments? TIA Meltinpix

I'd suggest checking out Benoit's C major scale pull-off and hammer-on exercises. There are probably more out there that I haven't discovered yet, but those, I think, would be particulary good to someone who is new to the concept. (A couple of those stretches could even give an experienced player some challenges.)
