Hey, I have a computer that has a sound card capable of hooking a guitar into it. Is there any good software out there so I can use my computer as a multi effects panel and amp?
Thanks.

Idk. But if you really wanna record with multi-effects. Just get the BOSS GT-8 and it has a digital out so you can plug one cable into your guitar and the GT-8 and another into the digital to the computer. Then you get the real sound. Or you can get a nice quality mic like I do. Plug it into your computer and put it next to your amp and play. I got some really good quality from that.

Thanks, but I just play guitar as a hobby, I just was looking for a program so I could get multi effects without buying separate hardware. Cheaters way I would call it. :)

Download a copy of Reaper for free, its for recording, mixing, editing and mastering. You can download hundreds of free VST's which will give you every imaginable effect for free too. Just set them up and you are ready to go with a pro studio sized digital rig;-)

From the Reaper website:

"REAPER is not free. Be sure to purchase a license if you use it past the evaluation period."

It's $50 for non-commercial use
$225 for commercial use
