I went with amplitube 2 in the end, and so far I`m very impressed. Only drawback I`ve found, is my total inability to stick with one setting for more than a song, they all sound so good! LOL!
And thanks elklandercc had tried a couple of nefarious versions before but never seemed to work quite right or just gave up and died in the end, and what with the upgarde discount I could get I figured it was worth it. Now if I could just get hold of the money for a stompio I`d be a happy, but tied to my pc, man!!!! :D
