I would be interested in doing an article about how to play lead without the benefit of understanding theory - specifically for people who allready know the basics... kind of a 'Dummy's Guide to Shredding'.
I don't know if this is what you're looking for but I have a fair few tips and advice for those who can't get a handle on note names, keys, scale names, modes etc. Exercises for speed playing, sweep picking and how to actually construct a solo from the ground up.
Warning though, I'm no guitar instructor and certainly no Steve Vai!
