should i spring for single effects pedals or would a good multi effects pedal give me the same quality effects. i kno buying single effects would be more expensive in a whole then just getting a multi effects unit but if the effects were of a better quality id think it would be worth it. thx in advance for any advice

a good multieffects pedal wouldnt give you the same quality but it would be very close for a hell of alot cheeper personally id go for multieffects and pad out where necessary with pedals
humans aren't imortal but rock and roll will never die
I've never had any stomp boxes, just a multi effects, and I love it. I know sometimes the cheaper ones sound digital, but the high-end ones sound flawless to me.

Get a Boss GT-8. Well worth the extra cash and all you'll ever need. If you do need anything else, just plug it in the send/receive loop. There's no beating having literally hundreds of different sounds at your disposal as well as amp emulation and a wah built in. If you have full access, there's a video here going through a bunch of the presets at random.
