Woah if I recall we had a member who had his whole hand numb not just one finger. I can tell you personally I have never expereince this "numbness" but I don't think it is too common, I know some people have it and many don't. When i first started my fingers just burned and stung after I played or took a break from playing. I don't think it is anything major but I would wait to see what other people say about it.

Off that topic, welcome to GT, I hope you have a good stay here, I am pretty new here myself and so far I am liking it here, we have kind and helpful members and the instructors here are just amazing. Well that is all I really have to say, good luck and remember if your neighbors are complaining about noise turn up the volume to they move away!
