That's not even remotely possible with a guitar. You can do it with a MIDI device such as a keyboard, but that's pretty much it.

Yeah, you'd need a guitar synth. Even then, the programs I tried were only for really simple tabs. There was no way to indicate slides, pull-offs, hammer-ons, vibrato etc... and no way to indicate where you were playing on the fretboard.
You'd end up spending so much tweaking the tab that you might as well just do it from scratch to start with.

We use Guitar Pro to do our own here and it's pretty good. You have to manually enter the notes but it plays back a pretty accurate representation of you tab so you can edit it. Plus it does the regular score as well.

You could purchase a midi guitar, but they are very expensive. Too much to even bother with.

Yeah I love Guitar Pro, it makes writing out the tabs and sheet music really very easy and quick. But yeah your only recourse would be a guitar with a midi pickup thing and like Kevin said it would have nothing other than the notes and their duration, plus it'd be in midi so you would still have to open it up in a tab software and deal with all the problems with that.

Guitar Pro for sure.

Not to mention glitches. Whenever I enter something with my guitar synth it takes me forever to edit the glitches caused by bad tracking.

You're better of learning how to do tab in Text format. It's quicker and easy to learn once you've done it for awhile.

Don't sweat it. When I first started it took me forever.
But after being forced to to them for Guitar Tricks it came real easy.
