What to learn first (beginner)
Hello to anyone reading this. My question is I never played an instrument before therefore I don't know how to read sheet music either or where to start. I just purchased a peavey electric guitar if anyone could throw a little info my way it would be greatly appreciated I just signed up for guitar tricks .com and aren't exactly sure where to start.

There is no "right" answer for this other than "Anything that keeps you interested enough to play every day (or every second day at the very least)".
I guess it really depends what you want to eventually do with the guitar... but for most people, they start out by learning about 5 or 6 chords and then learning simple songs that they can sing/whistle along to. Most people learn the E, A and D chords as well as the E minor and A minor chords first.. generally in that order too, for some reason... Then they learn the C and G chords, and more of the minor chords.. This generally a few weeks after starting because they have gotten good at the first 5 chords and now want to add more to their repertoire or perhaps there's a particular song that they now feel comfortable learning.
