I have a history fair project assignment, and I want to do it on guitar. The theme is conflict and compromise and it has to be history.

Any Ideas? Much appreciated ;)

Hmm...this may not work but it's an idea; how about the conflict of bringing and electric guitar into the Big Band/Jazz sound from the background, chord strumming to the solo/melody line player. Charlie Christian was a background player at first and eventually they moved him up front where he became a huge hit.

Lyrics cry for the conflict of giving up our freedoms to feel safe and secure.
Such as:

I was free, to do as I please,
I felt safe and secure without a care.
The towers fell, it was our Hell,
Can I wander outdoors, do I dare?

Or something like that.
