I have a fender standard strat and i'm looking to get a new bridge pickup installed. i have alnico 2 pro's in the neck and mid, and the stock pickup in the bridge. I like to play a lot of classic rock and blues...like SRV, hendrix, clapton, bb king...
i was looking at the seymour duncan JB Jr and the seymour duncan ssl-5l custom pickup. does anyone have any opinions on these two? any other suggestions?

I had Torres Engineering install a DiMarzio "hum-cancelling" bridge pickup in my SRV strat, as well as their Blues Caster wiring harness. It sounds great and edgy, if you crank it to 10. There are several models of this pickup depending on your style.

I've recently installed the JB JR in the bridge position in my Strat. I wired it so I can mix it with the neck or middle or with the neck/middle (switch position 2). I love the variability of the tone it adds. By itself it is much bolder than the noiseless bridge pickup I had replaced. My other two pickups are Fender Noiseless. Great tone combination!
