Hey I'm new to this forum and this is my first topic. I'm shopping around for an amp and here's my situation. I play lead and rythym for a sort of hard rock/alternative band. Right now I'm playing on a Les Paul Studio with Seymour Duncan APH-1's in both the neck and bridge position. I'm looking for an amp that is gonna give me enough volume for medium sized venues without miking it. I'm also looking for an amp that gives me the tone I need to let my solos cut through the rest of the band (Brian May or Slash esque) but also lets me tighten up the reigns when it's time to play rythym. I have a pretty nice pedal setup so I won't need to get my distortion from the amp. Right now I've been looking at the Vox AD100VTH with the V412BK cab but i am open to any suggestions. Oh one little thing i forgot to mention I need this to be in the price range of $700 to $900. Thank you for any advice you may have.
