Managed to get about 10 minutes at the weekend to upload this track into Cubase, did a bit of noodling and have an idea for what to record now. Not going to listen to anyone elses track until mine is done because I always get thrown and start being influenced. I'm going with the backing that had no rhythm guitar, I may add a few ringing chords of my own in the second half to add some drama.

Just got my take up - its messy but I probably won't get any time to do anther take before the end of the month. Got to my guitar after a heavy drinking session this evening (lots of red wine and beer). Messy as hell in places but it captures the vibe of evening nicely;-)
Staying away from the technical stuff this time, keeping things looser with a lot more improv than usual. Not a big fan of blues and I usually only use pentatonics sparingly but this time I coudn't help myself :D
Kudos to Equator for a cool backing track, I had a lot of fun playing this one!

Hey Superhuman, thatā€™s a cool take mate.
I like the tone of your guitar a lot and the melodic passages connecting the fast picking runs.
Nice changes of scalesā€¦ from Aeolian to Pentatonic to Dorian.
Recording quality is great as usual.
Sounds like you were having lots of fun with your new wah pedal.

Sorry ā€˜bout the drums guys. I donā€™t have the time to program a number of patterns; so, I make three patterns max. Someday Iā€™ll get a couple of ready to use loops.
Someday I`ll play like in my dreams.

Hey man, thanks for checking it out. I had a great time playing over this one, had a real 'air guitar' vibe to it, great groove, real easy to solo over without having to think too much. Drums were a bit basic allright but no worries, I know what its like to program midi - I hate it! Will be cool when you get some loops or even better - EZdrummer. Nice to hear what I'm doing musically from someone who knows, I just can't get my head around the terminology :o I'll get around to commenting on everyones tracks in detail over th next day or so.

Trouble at the LGM factory I'm afraid... they are way behind orders and are not taking on any custom jobs for at least another year. So I guess I'll have to wait for that 8 string 36 fret monster :( In the mean time I am either getting a Rusty Cooley signature Dean RC7G or an Ibanez Universe... still trying to make up my mind on that but at the moment I'm leaning toward the Dean (already have a Jem and a Prestige). Keep you posted!

Thats to bad. The pictures you posted of the LGM guitars were incredible. On another note I just scored a Red 1983 Ibanez Flying V with a Seymour Duncan Invader pickup on Ebay. Should look good hanging next to my 1991 RG770. Still do not feel like I have the skills to warrant a Jem like you have. My best friend from back in High School just traded his Les Paul Goldtop in for a Jem. I can't wait to go over and watch him shred on it. His ability's on the guitar surpass me by far. But then he has been playing for 20 years and I have been playing for 4 so I guess thats the reason. Blah Blah Blah. To much coffee!

Hey guys, though I'm not really active here, I have actually been on the forum for about a year and I thought that I would give this solo thing a shot. I just recently got into recording so sorry if the quality or tone isn't great, and the phrasing and timing are probably a bit weird, so I'm lookin for constructive criticism :p

That sounded really good. Liked the tone. Started off a little stiff but then you seemed to get into the groove and really had some nice licks in there. I really liked it at the 1:09 mark you had a cool lick right at that point and it was really good from there on. Some of your blues licks were staccato sounding and I thought that sounded really good. I have a tendency when I am trying to play the blues to try and sustain every note to much. Once again great stuff and hope you stick around. :)
