martin dx1

I was looking at a martin dx1 on ebay and i was wondering if anyone knew if this is a good guitar to buy and if its in good condition how much should I be willing to pay for it. Ive only played electric guitar for awhile i use to have a Yamaha that i liked but it turns out wood doesn't fair well being dropped down the stairs and i was looking to get back into acoustic but i dont want to go for a low end guitar or to pay for a very expensive acoustic and this seems like a good middle ground. My local guitar shop sells this model for $500 and it seems i could get this one for a good discount. Any help would be much appreciated.
