It's a great sound. I would love to learn it, but finger picking isn't my strongest point. Have you listened to Paco De Lucia? I don't know what style it is, but it's amazing. One of the legends.

Check out this old video from him too:

Could anyone perhaps give me a few names of players I could look into. I really want to learn a little flamenco but to be honest don't know of any names or songs. Any sites with tabs or anything would really help me out! Thanks

Hey uncleslinky.
Check out Paco de Lucia, Rumba Tres, Gipsy Kings.
As for scales, get acquainted with the Phrygian and Phrygian Major among others Scales.
And as for techniques practice finger-picking and what we call in Spanish Rasgeo or Rasgueado.
Hope that helps.
P.S. Take a listen to my favorite song by the Gipsy Kings “Viento del Arena”

Hey Adwa, I'm a flamenco player too. I first joined this site years ago for flamenco knowledge but ended up getting into rock and metal, I dont know how the hell that happened. I've been playing flamenco guitar now for 6 years and still learn new things every day. The more I practice, the more I realize how much more I need to learn. Unfortunately, because its such an exclusive genera of music, its almost impossible to find good flamenco resources online.
