One tip, don't try to copy a guitarsound from a recording.
1) I doubt you'll ever achieve it(unless you have all the pricey studio gear they have)
2) It'll probably sound like crap that way in a live band situation anyway(scooping mids is evil)
3) Creating your own sound is so much more fun

Dime's sound on records sounds so full cause he doubles all of his parts a number of times, this is what gives him this huge sound.

If you do want to copy his sound, get all the gear he plays through(like he'll ever tell what amps he really plays through! ;)), that'll get you a bit closer.
