Ibanez is a good brand to try for a wider neck. I have an RG770 with the Wizard neck and I can really tell the difference between it and my fender. The strings are much farther apart to me. But the Fretboard is wider because of this so if you are used to wrapping your thumb around the top this can be a bit harder with the Wizard neck.
