How good is the Epiphone Elitist LP Custom?

Of course, if I could convince my wife, I'd be going with Gibson Custom Shop Les Paul Custom, but since that is not likely to happen... I need to consider how good of a guitar I can get for much less money.

I've been looking at the Epiphone Elitist Les Paul Custom and it seems like a pretty good guitar, especially for the price.

I'd like to hear comments and opinions on this.

Sorry man, never played one... not much of an Epi or LP fan myself... how about Ibanez! :D

Although I've never played one, from what I've heard, Epiphone Elitist Models are extremely good value for money. Many musicians consider them the same quality as Gibsons, just with an Epiphone headstock.

My advice: try one, try a Gibson, try a lower-end Epiphone. Let your ears decide whats good enough
