Anyone know and/or recommend a software package that allows you to slow down mp3's or wav's so you can learn new songs at a slower speed and increase the speed as you become more competent? A freeware program would be ideal. Cheers, Kevin.

Hey,

I use the "Amazing Slowdowner". It's not free but not expensive if I remember correctly. Works great.

I know Audacity (which is free) has the ability to slow down audio files. It definitely affects the quality of playback, especially the slower you go, but it has the option to keep it the same pitch.
I don't know for sure, but I imagine other recording/mixing freeware have comparable abilities.
