What amp/guitar have you got?

As a start:

Make sure you're not near a CRT screen
No mobile phone in pocket
Just plug your guitar in to the amp - no pedals etc

and play with a clean sound... is it clear then?

It really depends on what amp you have... If you have like a 5 watt off-brand amp that came in a jumpstart package, then it's time to get a new amp. there's no way to get rid of the fuzz on those. But if it's a good amp, maybe you could try turning down the distortion and cranking the volume up about halfway. If you don't already have a distortion/overdrive pedal (which ever you prefer) then get a good one (Digitech Grunge, Boss Ds-1, etc). Also, you should make sure there are no T.Vs or computers on nearby. Also make sure nobody is using a T.V remote near you also. Also we need to know what type of settings you use on your amp/what style of music you play so that we can help accordingly

Hope this helps..
