When it comes to techinical ability Cooley is pretty much unbeatable IMO - not only is he one of the fastest players I have ever seen but the runs he plays are extremely difficult even at slow speeds. His solo album is a bit hard on the ears in places - the sheer number of notes and th espeed means that some feeling gets lost along the way but now that he is with a Outworld he seems to have tamed thing down making the shred even more impressive.
