Hi there, this is my very first post and I have recently started researching learning to play the guitar. I am petit and want a guitar that is smaller, made of solid wood and not too expensve and I would like to learn how to play rock, not folk. So any ideas as to what brand of guitar I should check into buying?

THANKS.

If you have small hands Ibanez has thin necks that are good for that. Also a friend of mine has really small hands and she had been looking for a guitar that fit her for 20 years or so and what she found was the Godin Freeway SA.
It's higher end than a beginner guitar but you would have less trouble learnng.

It's up to you but you should do your research and check the price on the internet before buying anything.Salesmen love to sell begginer guitars at way too high a prices, and they will take advantage of you if they sense you don't know your stuff.
