1960's TV Westerns

I'm looking for that deep, rich, twangy tone that the western TV shows' themes were based on. Was not much out there late 1950's into early 60's, probably just a strat and basic amp most likely. There were a bunch of old cowboy westerns in that time period.

I'd say that a Tele would be a better place to start than a Strat. An old Fender or possibly Gibson tube amp would also be a nice place to start.

Set amp for high end tone. add reverb and some tremelo and you should be in the ballpark
