So, what's all this then?
Is this board active?
Who's here?
Here's my deal....

44 Year old Classic Rock guitar player (played since I was 15)
Some Bass & Keys, but not recently.
On stage weekly, have been (on & off) for 20+ years.
Played in 23 different bands
Don't drink, no heavy drug use.
-------------------------------------------------
I play a '91 PRS Custom 24 mostly now. My '82 LP Custom is now a backup.
I use a Fender "Evil" Twin (2000 model) on stage, Dunlop Wah, Boss effects/tuner, Nady UHF 10 wireless
At home, I'm using an M-Audio Black Box into my computer.
(I haven't fired up a tube amp in the house for years!)
---------------------------------------------------------------
I'm heavy into gear and have a working knowledge of most anything you could bring on stage. (I read Musician's Friend catalogs on the toilet)
I'm a "semi" self-taught engineer. I never finished the classes, didn't get the credit, but my hands-on experience makes up for the missed classes.
I also took 3 months of broadcasting school (all I could take!)
I love to record! I'm not a fanatic about the Sonar software program I've been using for the last 5 years, but it works OK...I guess.
I wish I had Cubase or Reason. (but I need a multi-channel firewire box, too)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm not the best lead guitar player you'll ever see. I'm fast, but I'm limited.
I have a few tricks up my sleeve, but nothing jaw-dropping.
My strength is rhythm. I've played in so many different bands that I know nearly every song ever played on the circuit (almost) plus some other stuff, too. Country? Disco? Blues? Metal? I play it, too! I'm not a Jazz guy. NOT AT ALL! Jazz is like a mystery I'll never solve.
From "AbbA" to "ZZ Top"...I love it all. (Even Frank Zappa!)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm a friendly, mild tempered Southern man.
I'm a reformed redneck (due to my education & travel) but have kept the small town values I was raised on.
I have a warped sense of humor and can offend people without realizing it. (no tact)
------------------------------------------------------------------
Well, that's me in a nutshell.
In the words of Roger Daltrey...
"Tell Me, Who Are You? 'Cause I really wanna know."

Hey Comet.... welcome to GT... :)

I'm a 30 year old session musician / teacher / hired hand.

I think I'm friendly for the most part, but I'm hearing you on offending people without realising... I just don't take life as seriously as some people I guess.

Check out my music, video, lessons & backing tracks here![br]https://www.renhimself.com
