I just completed a review of Native Instruments Guitar Rig software for use on the PC. I found that all in all, this software gives you an absolutely incredible number of effects and presets. One of the problems I found, however, is that the distortion effects sound thin and noisy when recorded. I know that digital delay is never as good as a tube amplifier but I am looking for some help finding setting which reduce noise and provide well recorded distortion.

If anyone out there has any help in this department let me know, I may include it in a follow up article on this software.

I use Guitar Rig 2 as well and to tell you the truth I really don't like the distortion it puts out. I use it mainly for the ambient or modulated stuff. For distortion I prefer to use Amplitube.
