Thanks guys. This fingering works alot better. The particular example that I was playing came from Back for Bass (Prelude #1), but I have encountered this problem before. I have tried a few different right hand approaches, and I like using a sweep with my thumb (and occasional flavor added by my index+middle fingers). I am a plectrum free bass player.
