I have this great guitar tech in my town. He does a great job setting up my guitar and he knows more about guitars than I ever will. I had him set up my new martin and it came out great. Now I want to put an acoustic pickup in it. But I am worried that after he drills out the strap peg for the chord to go through it won't be a stock martin anymore and will lose some value.

Also, I don't know whether to go with the 'in the saddle' pickup or the 'in the soundhole' kind. The soundhole ones are ugly, but this guy swears they sound better.

If anybody has an opinion, I'd like to hear it.
