Ok, this is what I have physically connected to the GCX switcher
Boss OD-2: loop 1
Dyna Comp: loop2
Big Muff: loop 3
Fuzz: loop 4
Whammy: loop 5
Korg A3: loop 6
Korg SDD: loop 7
Korg SDD: loop 8
I think I'm doing something wrong when I set up each loop. I read the manual several times and there it says that the presets will only work when the loops are properly set up in the first place...
Also, they mention that when setting up a pedal (non midi) that I should not assign anything to the channel portion and leave it "--" but the problem is, when I do so, it does not work in the instant access portion.... On the other hand, if I say assign say "01" after I name the device as Boss od-2, it works when I use instant access....
This is how I set up each loop in the instance access settings:
1.select setup at the same time (top right and left)
2. select Instant access
3. (1 GCX-1 Loop1) to my understanding, and according to the manual, this means that button 1 will control loop 1 from my gcx-1. In other words, it will control my Boss OD-2.
So, now when I go to setup a preset:
Ok, Here comes the the assigning channels to the pedals issue... when setting up the device/channel, if I name the first device to:
1. Boss OD-2 / "--" the Pedal will not show up in the preset edit mode as a choice...
but if in the device/channel setup I put:
1. Boss OD-2/ "01" ( I just picked a random number, i chose 1 to be simplistic) Then, when I go to setup a preset, it is there as a choice...
So basically, what I'm trying to find out is how can I for instance have preset 1 do the following:
1. turn on Boss OD-2
2. turn on Korg A3 using korg preset #76 (the interesting thing here is that I can control the A3's preset by changing the numbers since I have synchronized the channels. but it does not turn on)
3. turn on Korg SDD (same as Korg a3)
I hope that with showing what i've done to attempt to set up will help you help me...
Thanks!
