This is a pretty stupid question, since I think Im the only one who has a favourite pick(or do you call it plectrum? I dont know.)
And I dont just mean a special thickness or something.
I have a special pick.
It has to be a "Fender Heavy".
Dont ask me why cause ofcourse theres no real reason.
But I feel that if Im not playing a Fender Heavy, or at least having one in my pocket, things are not going that well.

Now I would like to know if someone else have a favourite pick, and dont just come and say:
"I like 0,9 mm"

It has to be a specific brand and a specific model.

On the Plectrum question yes its called a Plectrun pick,
unless your useing a thumb pick, thens its just called a,
Thumb pick.
I think all guitar player's go thro a pick thing, plus
faverite picks that they like thro thier years of,
playing. I've used alot of odd shaped picks thro the years.
The picks i use today is a fender-medium pick plus i,
use a Dunlop Jazz III pick for alot of speed stuff.
I used to also use the old national metal picks for,
the 2d&3d fingers of my right hand.(for a Hibrid Style)
But who knows mabee next year i'll be useing a,
Fender Heavy...........

Mark
p:s I've been playing guitar since 1961 so i've used alot,
of picks in my time and still try new ones out!
Also forgot to mention i like to use the fat part of the,
fender pick for digging in when playing Blue's ,
Really i like useing every part of the pick for most everything i play even the dunlop.

My special pick(s) are George Dennis sharp 1.30s. It's a combination between the grip, the weight, and the sharpness that make it my favorite. Only my local music store seems to have them, none of the big ones nearby carry George Dennis.

Blue or Purple Dunlop Tortex picks for guitar. Four fingers and a thumb for bass.

almost every guitarist that has played for any length of time usually has a favorite pick.

my favorite pick is the fender custom shop one, (which looks like abalone) and that is shaped like the one frank gambale uses...
I like it because it fits better in my gigantic hands, and people think I play better when they see it

Well, mines are the Gibson USA medium (it's heart shaped) for solos and a Dunlop tortex medium (orange) for strumming.
