I play Ibanez RG370DX thru BOSS MT2 Metal Zone. And sure it does produce a pretty powerful crunch sound, but ONLY if I turn the guitar volume all the way up. That's fine for palm muting metal rhythm, but once I remove my hand from the strings, I get crazy feedback. it's squealing and screeching and driving me mad... and reducing the volume to the level were feedback fades weakens the sound substantially... does anyone else have this problem or it's just me? can it be cable? ...or apm? my cable is supposed to be ok but the amp is junk... some cheap 15W Fender...

Sorry if I'm asking an FAQ... Thanks...

It's probably your amp, in my experience, feedback is common on cheap, low wattage amps, particularly if they're 'cranked', also check your not standing too close to your amp, that will make the problem worse, and try lowering the gain on your MT2 if you've got it set high.

Get yourself a Boss Ns-2 noise suppressor and you won't look back.

or something similar like the MXR smart gate.
